Helping Sophia's Campaign (AKA, fuel for "The Velvet Steamroller!")

Hi! I'm so glad you're willing to help with my campaign! There's lots to do and a lot of ways you can help!

Of course, one of the best ways to help any successful campaign is to help it underwrite the significant costs of running for office. If you are ready to make an online donation, using PayPal's secure web server, just click the button below.

Please note: PayPal will ask you for your shipping address. We won't be shipping you anything (well, you never know!) but we need you to provide us with your home address for election reporting requirements. We can't accept your donation, as much as we'd like to, without it!

Please also note that political campaign contributions are not tax-deductible. And we are required, by law, to itemize any contribution of $100 or more so if you don't wish to have your contribution part of the public record, don't give us more than $99! Whew! So many rules, but now's the easy part:

Money's not the only thing that I need. I can use your help if you're willing to host a yard sign, if you might want to walk precincts with me, if you can help stuff envelopes--anything really! If you'd like to help in any way with the campaign, please drop me an email at:

sophiaforcouncil@littlebear.com

Or give me a call at (812)-824-8711. You can also email/call me if you want to give a donation but aren't comfortable with online credit-card transactions.

Interested in what your donations buy, what it takes to run a campaign? Here're some information:

It costs us approximately $0.33-$0.45 for each mailing that we do ($0.10 for the stock and printing, $0.22-$0.37 for postage, depending on how we send it). Thus your donation of, say, $50 allows us to send another 125 mailings out and mailings are the lifeblood of any campaign! In our campaign, we expect to send literally thousands, even tens of thousands, of mailings. You may have already received one.

What else do we spend money on? Yardsigns ($5 each), artwork, this website, etc. It all adds up and, thanks to you, it works!
