Greetings!
It is my hope to foster community harmony through the county council. I want to bring my skills as an organizer, planner and creative ability to the County Council's decision-making process. It is time for the council to more accurately reflect the diversity of its constituents and, by being elected, I hope to lead more women and minorities into government. Direct contact with Monroe County Youth Services and the Monroe County Jail, through my work as a musician, has provided me with an insider's view of the lives of people who I think of as my neighbors. Having direct contact with the youth, my peers, and the aged in the community keeps me tuned to our citizen's needs. Twenty years of working and living as a musician in Monroe County leads me to this point in time: My accomplishments have required thrift, perseverance, discipline, and social awareness. All decisions that I am vested with making on behalf of others are decisions made with these valuable skills. |
