Travis supported To the editor: This is in response to H-T's editorial on Oct. 1 regarding Sophia Travis. Unfortunately, the H-T missed the big picture. I support Sophia Travis for County Council because she is concerned with diversity. She is a long-time resident of Monroe County and will champion causes that others choose to ignore. Sophia does not want to be elected just because she is a woman or a minority. It is because she is well qualified to represent individuals in this community that are underrepresented. She cares that people are paying taxes into a system and have little or no say to how they are utilized. I support Sophia Travis for many other reasons; however, diversity is the main issue.
